In our experience, this cacao feels energizing and centering. We feel this cacao is a bit more stimulating than the Nicaraguan origin; however, it does not feel "buzzy" or "caffeine-y" - it is still centering and grounding. We love to drink this cacao before a social event or engaging in something more active (eg, hiking).

Organically grown in Cahabón Verapaz, Guatemala.

Taste notes: Full and smooth taste with a warm, nutty aroma

100% pure cacao disks: Made from whole cacao beans, this bag contains cacao flakes. Cacao disks are similar to a block of cacao, but easier to use: just scoop and mix into a frothy drink

450 g: Approximately 16 casual servings or 11 ceremonial servings

We are official retailers of Pure Kakaw’s ceremonial cacao. Pure Kakaw’s cacao is pure, ceremonial-grade cacao that has been minimally processed and is naturally vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, non-gmo, direct-trade, and organic. Erik and Leonie, owners of Pure Kakaw, personally visit small, natural cacao farms in Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Peru to ensure their cacao is responsibly, ethically, and sustainably sourced: 1) The cacao is grown in natural environments where no chemicals or pesticides are used. 2) The cacao is minimally processed and roased at low temperatures to preserve its healthy compounds and nutritional value. 3) Higher prices are paid to the farmers to support their sustainable way of working.
