goose conscious pre-game: st. augustine

🎉 This event will take place in the grassy, waterfront area of "The Fort" (Castillo de San Marcos National Monument) — a short, beautiful walk from the Flodown at Spinster Abbott's. If interested, attendees can meet at Spinster's at 11:30am and walk to The Fort together.

At Spinster's, Flodown vendors + live music will be set up from 12-4pm, making it easy for you to have a cohesive pre-show experience (conscious pre-game > vendor shopping + live music > Goose)!

THE CONSCIOUS PRE-GAME for fans consists of a cacao ceremony and meditation circle designed to deepen the live music experience by offering an alternative way to pre-game. These special events provide space for members of the Goose community to connect with one another on a deeper level. We also hope to empower you to enter the night with a greater sense of inner awareness, intention, presence, and connectedness. Hannah & Kait lead this same ritualistic pre-game for the band before they go on stage, providing the opportunity for band & fans to get on the same wavelength for the show.

We will begin with the cacao ceremony where we'll drink ceremonial-grade cacao from Nicaragua. Cacao produces heart-opening, energizing, playful, blissful, yet grounding and centering effects, which make it an ideal pre-game substance to help ease “pre-show jitters”, enhance the ability to connect with others, and help you become present and immersed in the show.

After we share our first few sips together, we will set intentions for the night. We will then move into a seated, guided meditation. After the meditation, we will open the space for pulling an oracle card, journaling, and sharing (if you choose; silence is always welcome).

We will be outside for this event, so please bring water and anything else you may need to feel comfortable (layers if you get chilly, a hat, sunscreen, etc).

It is easiest to connect with the spirit of cacao on an empty stomach and in the absence of other substances (caffeine, alcohol, marijuana, etc).
